Cast in solid 925 sterling silver. A signet face framed by a raised polished border, centred on a sacramental cross set into an oxidized medallion.
Around it, the Latin inscription MEA MAXIMA CULPA, "through my most grievous fault," taken from the Confiteor.
The shoulders are carved with cathedral tracery and Gothic floral motifs, deeply engraved and darkened against the polished silver.
